443 000 MKD donation for the support groups of Macedonian single mothers

The Union of Women’s Organizations of Macedonia - UWOM organized the Traditional Humanitarian Vasilica Coctail, and collected funds of the amount of 443 000 MKD which will be allocated for support of the single mothers in the country. A special guest of the coctails, held on 13 January 2006 was Ph.D.Ilinka Mitreva, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Macedonia.

At this years cocktail, the major donation was made by the Macedonian Telecommunications (300 000, 00 MKD), other donors and participants were representatives from international and national organizations, Embassies and business sector. After the short introductions given by Mrs.Savka Todoorvska, President of UWOM and Ph.D.Ilinka Mitreva, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, followed presentations of the Vasilica customs, blessings, sharing of the traditional pie with gold coin and cocktail.
