Bulgarians with oncologic diseases and other chronic diseases gathered Wednesday to protest in front of the Health Ministry in Sofia.

The people protested against the lack of medicines for treatment of oncologic diseases. The delivery of such medicines is being late with six months.

"The health ministry authorities refuse to contact us", the protesters say. They said they would resort to civic disobedience in case they do not receive an answer and a chance for treatment.

The number of those suffering oncologic diseases in Bulgaria amounts to 230,000 according to statistics.

The protesters have sent a letter to the Health Ministry, the President, to all Bulgarian parties, and European health organisations demanding a more human politics in the health services sphere.
